What it does
Okay, so basically, my app helps this problem by getting kids encouraged and engaged by getting stuff like a leash or a bed for them after they read a story from their library for their virtual pet, which can be like a dog, a cat, a hamster, really any pet. Built for My app is for kids in kindergarten to 12th grade that wanna learn how to read better or aren't that good at reading, and that they love pets..
What a real user taught us
When someone tried my app, what happened was that they couldn't figure out what the steering wheel was until I told them. So I changed that and now it has a label that says steering wheel. And another person tried my app and they couldn't move up and down to go back to stories or like library and stuff. So they had to, um, they had to, so I had to write down and I changed that only the steering wheel can now control the animal. So I can go to places with the arrow buttons because it's hard for me not to. And then.
A safety issue we fixed
What I changed to make my app safer is that when you wanna go onto a different account, you have to put in their password, the password of the animal. You could use your touchscreen or the thing to automatically fill it if it came up. But like, you would have to fill in the right name and the right passcode of the animal and the passcode that you put in the animal to get into you so that you can play with that animal so that someone else can't hack their account and take away all their stuff.
What we would build next
One thing that might help my app would probably be to, um, maybe making it so you can't remove a character without filling in their password and their name, so that no one can just delete anyone else's progress. And so you can't see your progress when the app is open, so if someone really wanted to meet you, they wouldn't know if you have no progress or a lot of progress.
