What it does
A customer can input their dog's profile by answering a few simple questions. After doing so, they can request a walk for their dog. They input a pickup address, time, and date, and submit the request. Walkers can then view the request and are notified via email. They can then approve the request, and an email will be sent to them and the customer reminding them of the time, date, and location. Built for This app is for dog owners who want the best for their dogs by giving them exercise and, at the same time, helping other dogs in need in shelters..
What a real user taught us
Someone tried an early version of my app and wanted more detailed questions in the dog profile. I learned that owners want to share more information about their dogs before requesting a walk.
A safety issue we fixed
One risk was that customers could see other owners’ personal details. I added access rules so customers can only see their own walk requests, while walkers can see requests they need to accept.
What we would build next
I would add digital payments through Stripe so owners could pay for walks securely without needing cash.
